During 2010, sponsored by our Stringing Pearls study group, St. Paul's took on this special project to say thanks and give support to members of the Grey and Simcoe Foresters Regiment who deployed to Afghanistan. Five mailings of care packages, toiletry items and small gifts for local children, and letter were sent. We also offer our daily and weekly prayer support. CONTACT MRS. DORIS NEELIN. On June 12, one of our chosen solders, Corporal Evan Gorman along with Lieutenant Roger Caron, Adjutant 700 Communication Squadron were able to join us for Sunday worship.
CHRISTMAS COUNTRY CRAFT BAZAAR
This initiative is one of the most important in the life of St. Paul's. Not only is it a significant fundraiser with our members and their friends working throughout the year making items to donate for sale. It is also an important time of community building as people who attend our three different worship services work together.
Normally on the second Saurday of November, our Christmas Bazaar is attended by several hundred people from the local community who know they will get good value and find beautiful and unique gift items. Our Silent Auction and Penny Table are big hits. In 2010 we added a pie sale to our baking and Christmas treats. Watch for details on the 2012 Bazaar.
Wendy Hopper and Peggy Sindrey will be joint convenors for the 2012 Bazaar.
SENIORS' DROP-IN
